Leeds United defender Tyler Denton is in advanced talks to join League One club Peterborough United on loan, Football Insider sources understands.
Peterborough boss Steve Evans is a big admirer of Denton from his time at Elland Road and has moved to bring the left-back to London Road.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the Leeds academy product is likely to join on a season-long loan deal and a deal could be done by the end of the week.
Denton, who stands at 5ft 9in (source: Transfermarkt) has come through the ranks at Elland Road and he has made three appearances in the first-team for Leeds.
The 22-year-old spent the first half last season on loan at League Two Port Vale during which he made 22 appearances for the club before returing to Leeds.
Denton saw his path into the first-team at Leeds last season blocked by the signing of Laurens de Bock and the emergence of Tom Pearce.
Nevertheless, the rising star is highly-regarded at Leeds and they feel another loan move is the best option for the defender so that he can get regular first-team action under his belt.
