Exclusive: Leeds United record-breaking deal is ‘the best ever seen’

The deal between Leeds United and Red Bull is “the best ever seen in the EFL”, sources have told Football Insider.

The Yorkshire club announced on Friday morning (30 May) that they have struck a multi-year deal with Red Bull as a minority investor and sponsorship partner.

The energy drink brand – which owns a string of football clubs across Europe – have had a long-term interest in Leeds and have close contacts within Elland Road.

As part of the multi-year deal, Red Bull will appear as the club’s new front-of-shirt sponsor from 2024-25 onwards.

The valuation of the deal has not been disclosed, but sources close to the club have told Football Insider that it will be “extremely lucrative”.

They add that the package deal of Red Bull’s investment and sponsorship agreement is “the best ever seen in the EFL”.

It is understood that the deal will see Leeds top the Championship in regards of shirt sponsorship income with the valuation also besting multiple Premier League clubs.

Daniel Farke’s side came close to returning to the top flight this season but narrowly missed out after a 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the play-off final.
