Exclusive: Liverpool make January transfer plan after after two defender injuries confirmed
Liverpool are unlikely to target a right-back in the January transfer window despite recent injuries to key players, sources have told Football Insider.
Conor Bradley returned from international duty with a muscular issue and is expected to be out until the middle of December.
Arne Slot’s other right-back option, Jeremie Frimpong, is also set to miss the next three weeks, after picking up a hamstring injury against Eintracht Frankfurt back in October.
However, sources say that Liverpool will not be rushing to bring in a replacement for either Frimpong or Bradley in the January transfer window, as it is not a priority.

Liverpool struggling for right-back options
Both Bradley and Frimpong should be back before the window reopens, negating any immediate need for Liverpool to sign a right-back.
However, it is clearly still a problematic position for Slot, with Dominik Szoboszlai being forced to fill in there on multiple occasions this season.
Bradley has been superb in several matches recently, but has also struggled, notably up against Jeremy Doku in Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City before the international break.
As for Frimpong, he has rarely been trusted as an out-and-out right-back since his summer move, with Slot seeing the Dutchman as a more attacking player.
Liverpool also have Joe Gomez, who has experience playing on the right side of defence, and the Reds boss may have to consider utilising the Englishman over the next few weeks.
Liverpool make decision on Arne Slot’s future
Meanwhile, Slot still has the backing of the Liverpool ownership despite recent results, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds have now lost six of their last seven Premier League games, and are already 11 points adrift of table-topping Arsenal.
Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday (22 November) leaves them 12th in the table and has increased the pressure on Slot.
However, sources say that there are no immediate signs that the Dutchman will be sacked as he still has credit in the bank with the club’s US owners.
