Exclusive: Liverpool set Caoimhin Kelleher asking price

Liverpool will reluctantly listen to offers for goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (10 February) that Newcastle, Chelsea and overseas clubs are keen on a move for the 26-year-old shot-stopper.

Kelleher will have just 12 months left on his Liverpool contract in June and is not willing to sign an extension.

As such, Liverpool will consider bids for the Republic of Ireland international – who is expected to be keen on a move away from Anfield.

Liverpool will accept Caoimhin Kelleher bid

It is believed the Merseysiders value Kelleher at £30-40million after his development at Anfield in recent years.

The goalkeeper is now experienced in the Premier League and in Europe, but will need to leave for pastures new with Giorgi Mamardashvili joining Alisson at the club in the coming months.

Liverpool will bank pure profit for Kelleher after his time in the club’s youth setup – providing a much-needed financial boost for the Reds in the summer window.

Sources say “all signs” point to the Cork-born goalkeeper moving on from Anfield this summer amid interest from Newcastle and Chelsea.

Kelleher has made 17 senior appearances this term, conceding 15 goals and keeping eight clean sheets.

The striker, who has missed 15 games across all competitions with injury this term, is under contract until June 2027.
