
Exclusive: Middlesbrough plot raid to sign top full-back target from north west club

Middlesbrough have identified Blackpool defender Marc Bola as their top left-back this summer, Football Insider understands.
Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate is determined to strengthen his full-back options before the transfer window closes, with Tomas Mejias the only signing at the Riverside this summer.
A source at Middlesbrough has told Football Insider that the 21-year-old has been named by Woodgate as his top target to fill the problem position and that he is determined to win the race for his capture.
The likes of Brentford, Huddersfield and Luton have all been credited with an interest in Bola this summer after impressing at Blackpool last season.
He joined the north west club last summer on a free transfer following his release by Arsenal and featured in 35 games for the Tangerines, his performances bringing him to the attention of clubs higher up the football pyramid.
He never featured for Arsenal’s first-team during his time in north London but has been a regular in the lower reaches of the football league, with 53 League One appearances under his belt.
