Exclusive: Danny Mills claims West Ham fans have seen last of first-team player
Danny Mills claims that West Ham fans have seen the last of Roberto for their club after seeing the goalkeeper axed from the side.
The former Manchester City and England defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that he cannot see a way back for the Spanish stopper following his raft of high-profile errors.
Roberto was dropped by Manuel Pellegrini for the win over Chelsea, David Martin keeping a clean sheet at Stamford Bridge and retaining his place versus Wolves.

Mills says that the former MK Dons keeper looks set to keep his place in the starting XI until Lukasz Fabianski returns from injury, suggesting Roberto’s West Ham career is over.
Asked if the supporters had seen the last of the Spaniard in a Hammers shirt, Mills told Football Insider: “I would think so. I can’t see him getting back in for some time now.
“That will do Martin the world of good and the confidence it will give him, he’s just got to be solid, not make any silly mistakes and he’ll keep that until Fabianski comes back in.”

Roberto has played nine times across all competitions for the Irons since joining on a free transfer this summer, seven of those outings coming in the Premier League.
Football Insider have revealed that Pellegrini has given the green light for the 33-year-old to be sold in January after his disappointing displays, the Chilean setting sights on signing a replacement.
In other West Ham news, the club are weighing up whether to pay a seven-figure fee to get one man out of the club.
