Ange Postecoglou is set to be afforded time by the Nottingham Forest hierarchy, sources have told Football Insider.
Postecoglou is under big pressure at the City Ground, following an abysmal start to life in the dugout on Trentside.
The Australian is yet to lead his side to a win in any of his seven games in charge, and has only picked up one point from four matches in the Premier League.
Evangelos Marinakis is set to hold talks with Postecoglou during the international break regarding the current state of affairs.
Ange Postecoglou given lifeline at Nottingham Forest
Sources say that despite their poor run of form, Nottingham Forest are unlikely to sack Postecoglou during the international break.
Instead, the former Spurs boss is set to remain in his position until at least the visit of Chelsea in two weeks time.
However, Marinakis and the Forest board require immediate improvement from Postecoglou, who has seemingly already lost the support of the fans.
The first couple of games after the international break are set to be pivotal for the 60-year-old, who remains adamant that he is up to the challenge of turning things around.
Nottingham Forest are reluctant to sack another manager
Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked by Nottingham Forest less than a month ago, after falling out with Marinakis over transfer strategy.
Therefore, the Trentside club are reluctant to make another change so quickly, and appoint what would be their third manager of the season.
However, if the poor form continues then the Forest hierarchy will have no choice but to pull the trigger.
Including his spell at Tottenham, Postecoglou has now lost 30 out of his last 49 Premier League games, an astonishing record that is well in the region of relegation form.
Forest will be desperate to steer clear of any potential danger at the bottom of the table, so are seeking an immediate turnaround from the Australian.
