Exclusive: Nottingham Forest target James McAtee ready to approve move
James McAtee is seriously considering leaving Man City amid interest from Nottingham Forest, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with Forest and many Premier League clubs as he struggles for game time with City.
It is believed McAtee is keen to kickstart his career and may have to agree a move elsewhere to make that happen.
He will have just 12 months to run on his contract in June and City are keen to tie him down to a renewed deal to protect his value.
McAtee could kickstart career away from Man City
But Nottingham Forest, Fulham and West Ham have been among the sides linked with a swoop – and could offer McAtee regular first-team football.
He has made just two Premier League starts this season – both of which have come in April with Pep Guardiola‘s side in fine form.

McAtee has hit seven goals in 25 appearances across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign.
He has experience as a regular starter after two years on loan with Sheffield United in the Championship and Premier League.

Forest open talks over Hudson-Odoi deal
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed earlier this month (10 April) that Nottingham Forest are willing to offer winger Callum Hudson-Odoi an extended contract.
The 24-year-old will have just 12 months left to run on his Forest deal in June after arriving from Chelsea in 2023.
Hudson-Odoi is open to prolonging his stay at the City Ground after playing a key role for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the 2024-25 campaign.
