Wolves defender Kortney Hause closing in on a loan move to Reading, Football Insider sources understands.
Championship side Reading have made enquiries to Wolves about Hause’s availability on loan as they look to bolster their defensive options and are hopeful a deal can be agreed this month/
A well placed source has told Football Insider that Hause is highly regarded at Wolves and he was handed a new three-year deal in April to keep him at Molineux until 2021.
But the Premier League new boys are happy to loan out the central defender so that he can be playing regular first-team football this season.
Hause is well down the pecking order at Wolves and is unlikely to figure in Nuno Esperito Santo’s first-team plans in the Premier League this season.
The 22-year-old made only four appearances last season and none in the Championship as Wolves romped to promotion to the Premier League.
Reading boss Paul Clement is looking to strengthen his defensive options before the transfer window closes and is keen to secure Hause on loan.
In other Wolves news, their bitter rivals are about to make a huge transfer splash their will transform their team this season.
