Exclusive: Paul Robinson raves about 'Improved' Man City player who is yet to fulfil 'Potential'
Paul Robinson showered Manchester City defender John Stones with praise but claimed there was more to come.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the ex-Premier League goalkeeper suggested Man City are yet to see Stones at his best as he has the potential to be one of the best centre-halves in the league.
The English centre-back missed Man City’s comfortable win over Manchester United in the League Cup on Tuesday with it reported that he is potentially being rested.

Robinson shared that Stone’s development had faced problems at Man City due to him not having regular game time or a regular defensive partner.
The retired keeper then suggested Stones would be a better player than he is now if he had been regularly playing alongside Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk.
When asked if Stones has improved, Robinson told Football Insider: “He’s definitely improved.

“He’s improved and there’s loads more to his game.
“John Stone has potential to one of the best centre-halves in the league, he has improved under Guardiola, but I still think there is a mistake in him.
“The problem he has had at Man City is that he hasn’t had regular playing time or a regular centre-half partner.
“If he had been playing alongside Virgil Van Dijk then he’ll be a lot better player than he is.”
The 25-year-old defender has played 13 times this season and has racked up one assist in the process.
Stones has been with Man City since joining from Everton in August 2016 and is contracted to stay with Pep Guardiola’s side until 2022.
