Exclusive: Rotherham beat Real Betis to deal for Man United sensation
Man United have agreed a deal to loan striker Gabriele Biancheri to Rotherham, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils rejected a permanent offer from Real Betis in favour of sending him on loan to the League One club until the end of the season.
Biancheri, 19, is very highly rated at Old Trafford having scored five goals and provided three assists in 10 appearances in the Premier League 2 this season.
As a result, they have decided to block the Wales Under-21 international from leaving permanently in favour of continuing his development out on loan.
Biancheri has a contract at Man United until 2027 after penning a four-year deal when he signed from Cardiff City in 2023.

Rotherham agree Gabriele Biancheri deal with Man United
Biancheri has been a star for Man United’s Under-21s side so far this season and has made 21 appearances for the youth sides across all competitions.
That form had attracted permanent interest on the continent, with Real Betis moving quickly with a permanent offer which was rebuffed by United.
Instead, he is now closing in on a move to Rotherham to aid in their battle against relegation after a tough start to the season in League One.
Matt Hamshaw’s side targeted Biancheri as an option to bolster their attacking ranks, as Sam Nombe is their current top league goalscorer with six goals.
There is hope that a loan could be beneficial for all parties as the 19-year-old prepares for his first major step into senior football.
Biancheri set to join fellow United youngster out on loan
Biancheri is not the only youngster at Old Trafford who is set for a loan move on deadline day, with winger James Scanlon closing in on a move.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 2 February that Scanlon is in advanced talks with Swindon to complete a loan move before the deadline.

Scanlon, 19, is yet to make an appearance for the Red Devils’ first-team, but has been a regular starter at Under-21 level so far this season.
He is a fully-fledged international for Gibraltar, with two goals in 20 caps since debuting for his country at 17-years-old in March 2024.
