Man City winger Luke Bolton is in advanced talks to join newly-promoted SPL club Dundee United, Football Insider can reveal.
The 20-year-old, who can also play at full-back, is close to a move north of the border after spending this season on loan at Championship club Luton Town.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that terms are being thrashed out for Bolton to join Dundee United on loan following their return to the Scottish Premiership.
All parties are increasingly confident an agreement can soon be in place.
City and their manager Pep Guardiola have given the green light for Bolton to go out on loan again in order to get key first-team experience.
He was a regular for Luton in their recently-ended Championship campaign that ended in dramatic late survival.
Bolton made 10 league starts among 28 appearances in all competitions and played predominantly at right-back.
He has previously had a spell on loan at Wycombe Wanderers in League One after flourishing in City’s Under-23s and Under-18s.
