Exclusive: Top pundit expects Celtic to sell Edouard amid new-deal talks
Alan Hutton believes Celtic could still sell Odsonne Edouard this summer if a club comes in with a big enough offer for the French striker.
The former Rangers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, admitted it wouldn’t surprise him if someone comes in with a “big offer” for Celtic’s star man before the end of the transfer window.
Football Insider revealed in July that Edouard had indicated to Celtic chiefs he would be willing to sign a new deal.
Despite this, Hutton insisted it is “very difficult” for Scottish sides to turn down “massive money” for their top talent.
“I think if an offer is big enough he will go,” Hutton told Football Insider.
“For a Scottish team, it is very difficult to turn down massive money, I think it will have to be the right price so we’ll have to wait and see.

“It depends how Celtic value him but I think he’s a top talent and it wouldn’t surprise me if someone comes in with a big offer between now and the end of the window, it just depends if it’s big enough for Celtic to take it.”
Football Insider the Scottish champions have slapped a new £40million price tag on their star player to ward off the many teams trying to sign him.
His contract expires in 2022 and that has placed his future in doubt amid a stunning season, which saw him collect the Scottish player of the year award for his goal heroics.
The lethal striker’s 45 Celtic appearances last season yielded 27 goals and 19 assists while he also banged in a remarkable 11 goals in just six France Under-21s matches.
He began the season in stunning form, netting a hat-trick during Celtic’s 5-1 opening day demolition of Hamilton.
