West Brom attacker Wes Hoolahan is set to sign a contract extension until the end of the season at the Hawthorns, Football Insider understands.

Hoolahan’s current deal expires at the end of January after joining on a short-term deal in September on a free transfer.

Moore has offered Hoolahan a deal until the end of the season as he looks to keep hold of his squad as he aims to maintain their push for promotion back to the Premier League.

A source close to the club has told Football Insider that the former Republic of Ireland international has verbally accepted the offer and will pen fresh terms.

The 36-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular place in the West Brom starting XI, but Baggies boss Darren Moore is keen to keep hold of the Irishman.

The ex-international has made only eight appearances since his arrival at West Brom, but he has impressed when he has played.

In other West Brom news, it can be REVEALED the club have made a fresh swoop to sign a Premier League star after new talks.
