Expert: 'Clubs watching' Liverpool star Caoimhin Kelleher ahead of January - 'everyone knows'
Paul Robinson has claimed Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is being “watched” by clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said the 23-year-old’s future will depend on his “personal ambition.”
Kelleher starred for the Reds in their penalty shootout victory over Derby County in the League Cup on 9 November.
As quoted by the Liverpool Echo post-match (10 November), Klopp hailed the goalkeeper and his “absolutely exceptional” ability.
The Republic of Ireland international has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Anfield.
Robinson claimed Klopp is “showering Kelleher in praise” in a bid to keep him at the club as long as possible.

“Clubs will be watching Kelleher, make no mistake about it,” he told Football Insider. “Everyone knows what he is capable of.
“The question is about his desire. Is he desperate to be a number one yet?
“Fortunately for Klopp, he has got two of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.
“Kelleher will have to bide his time. How long is he happy to sit there behind Alisson? I cannot see Alisson leaving anytime soon.
“Kelleher will have to weigh up whether it is worth leaving a club like Liverpool, who are challenging for every major trophy, for a lesser side. Financially, he will not get a better deal elsewhere.
“A lot is down to Kelleher’s personal ambition. How long can he sit there being number two?
“Klopp is going to keep showering him in praise because he wants him there. Klopp knows fine well clubs will be looking at him. Kelleher is good enough to do it.”
