Expert hails ‘great business’ as Liverpool agree £68.4m transfer fees
Kevin Campbell has hailed “great business yet again” at Liverpool after Neco Williams joined Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest.
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Reds’ success and silverware means they can charge clubs more for players like the 21-year-old full-back.
Liverpool confirmed the departure of Williams last week (11 July) – with the Wales international joining Nottingham Forest after a successful loan at Fulham last season.

According to Transfermarkt, the full-backs departure brings the Anfield club’s transfer incomings to £68.4million for this summer.
Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane, and Marko Grujic have also departed the Merseyside club.
Campbell insisted Williams’ exit is good for all parties as he joins the likes of Rhian Brewster, Dominic Solanke, and Harry Wilson as big-money exports from the youth set-up at Liverpool.
“It’s great business yet again,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“Neco Williams is a Wales international, he’s played Champions League and Premier League games. He’s not let anyone down, it’s just that he is behind Trent Alexander-Arnold in that pecking order.
“The fact of the matter is that when you’re up the top, challenging for trophies – the price for these kind of players goes up.
“I think £17m is a fair enough price for all parties considering all the factors. Nottingham Forest have got themselves a good player.”

Williams, who is capped 21 times by Wales, notched 33 senior games for Liverpool before completing his departure from Anfield.
He managed just 388 minutes of football for the Reds last term before joining Fulham on loan for the second half of the season.
