Expert issues Liverpool takeover 'red alert' - 'listen to this...'
It should not be “panic stations” at Crystal Palace but owners David Blitzer and Josh Harris will likely be interested in buying Liverpool.
That is the view of finance expert Doctor Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest on a possible takeover at Anfield.
Fenway Sports Group released a statement earlier this month (7 November), via the Athletic, confirming that they would welcome new investment into the club.
The Daily Mail reported last week (11 November) that has put Palace owners Blitzer and Harris on “red alert”.
The America duo were open to dumping the club when Chelsea were put up for sale earlier this year.
“Genuine fear is probably a little bit strong at this stage but you are always wary of it,” Plumley told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.

“Especially given the narrative of where this came from with their interest in Chelsea.
“Location is key with this because Liverpool are an investment proposition in the same ballpark as Chelsea, it’s a big Premier League club, it’s Champions League, it’s history.
“But it’s Liverpool and not London and people look at cities as much as anything. Obviously, Palace is in London as well, so that might have been a factor that pushed them to Chelsea more than Liverpool.
“Listen, these clubs don’t come up for sale very often in terms of full takeover so everyone is always going to be looking at that.
“For Palace fans, it’s not necessarily that it’s panic stations and genuine fear yet.
“At the minute, there is this hierarchy in English football and Palace just can’t compete with Liverpool and that goes up to ownership.
“If you’re an ownership that is looking at other clubs down the line then naturally they would be interested in Liverpool if they are up for sale.”
