Expert shares 'huge' Oliver Skipp verdict after Tottenham source's '£4m' reveal
Oliver Skipp is well-deserving of his new Tottenham contract with a major pay hike on the cards.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On 1 April, Football Insider revealed Tottenham have reached an agreement in principle with Skipp, 21, over a new contract.
A Spurs source has explained the midfielder has secured a major pay hike as a reward for establishing himself as a key member of the team.
Wenham has been left delighted with the update.
“All the reports I have seen about that have put Skipp on about £35,000-per-week,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“But there was one I have seen that puts him £80,000-per-week which would be a huge increase for him. That would put him on over £4million-per-year.
“I’m not going to complain about however much we pay him considering we were paying Ndombele £200,000-per-week until recently.
“He offered absolutely nothing so I won’t begrudge the guy who is about to sign a four-year deal with the option of another year.
“That deal will run until he’s 25 or 26 and it is beyond well-deserved and I couldn’t be happier for him.”
Skipp has now been out for over two months after breaking down with a groin problem in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on 23 January.
Speaking via club media on 1 April, Antonio Conte claimed the midfielder is “very close” to a return though he updated on 6 April that Skipp is “not ready”.
