Expert: Tottenham may sell two big names and sign Allan Saint-Maximin after £50m update
Tottenham will only sign Allan Saint-Maximin if Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura leave the club this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
According to the Daily Mail (2 April), the Magpies would listen to £50million offers for the winger when the transfer window re-opens this summer.
Wenham insists Saint-Maximin would not start for Spurs but admitted he could be of use as the club is set to fight on four fronts during the 2022-23 season.
“I don’t think he is better than Kulusevski,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He might be more glamourous than Kulusevski but the fact is Kulusevski has shown he is better by getting goals and assists.
“Saint-Maximin would not get in our starting front three but it is a squad game.
“If Bergwijn were to go and we got an interesting bid for Moura, maybe Saint-Maximin becomes a target.
“Newcastle value him at a set amount of money and whether Tottenham would meet that figure, I can’t really see that.”
Saint-Maximin has scored five goals and registered five assists in 35 Premier League appearances during the 2021–22 season.
He has made 93 total appearances for the club since joining from Nice in the summer of 2019.
