Aston Villa host promotion chasers Sheffield Wednesday in a Championship clash on Saturday afternoon.
It will be the second time in five days that Villa will take on a Yorkshire club after they were beaten at Huddersfield Town in midweek.
Here, Football Insider looks at the three most likely things fans can expect to happen during the clash against Wednesday.
Jordan Amavi to struggle
The Villa Park fan favourite started the 1-0 defeat against Huddersfield on Tuesday night on the left wing. The reason why the left-back started out of position was because of the injuries mounting up at the club. Nonetheless, Amavi struggled in his new role and it won’t be a surprise if he finds it difficult to get going once again. He will come up against an energetic away team who will give him no room to produce the goods or deliver his well-executed crosses.
Jonathan Kodjia to score
Regardless of the result, the club’s main man is likely to get on the scoresheet at the weekend, in particular at Villa Park. Even when Kodjia is having an off day, he still manages to find himself causing trouble in the opposition penalty area. At times his selfishness affects his team’s play but it can also help him find the back of the net.
Villa to frustrate the home supporters
Up until February, Villa had not lost a single league game at home, but you wouldn’t have known that had you judged the team solely on their performances at home. There have been many times when Villa have struggled to get going, allowed the team to pass the ball around with ease and as a result frustrated their home supporters. Therefore, it won’t be a surprise if this situation occurs once again at the weekend.
