Lucas Moura is ineligible for Tottenham’s FA Cup replay against Newport County tomorrow night (Wednesday) – and fans on Twitter have urged him to rip Arsenal to shreds at the weekend.
Spurs announced on their official Twitter account that the £26million January signing cannot play in the match against the League Two minnows at Wembley because he had not been registered for the first encounter 10 days ago.

But many Spurs fans on social media looked on the bright side as they urged the Brazil international to use the opportunity to prepare himself for the Saturday lunchtime showdown against Arsenal, which is also at Wembley.
Here is a selection of the best messages on Twitter:
Liking the idea of us doing this deliberately so he can rip Arsenal to shreds on Saturday. ????????

Winger Moura was signed by Tottenham on deadline day from Paris Saint-Germain for £26million after they took advantage of his diminished status at the club following the mega-money signings of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar last summer.
The Brazil international, who has accumulated 35 caps, showed in his 229 games for PSG, scoring 46 goals and adding 50 assists, that he can be a major asset for Spurs in the coming months.
They will book their place in the FA Cup sixth round if they overcome Newport.
