Fans rip into Celtic 23-year-old after woeful display against Ross County
By Amir Mir
Callum McGregor started for Celtic in their 2-2 draw against Ross County on Sunday afternoon – and fans on Twitter have ripped into the player for his woeful display.
The 23-year-old midfielder started in a wing-back role as Brendan Rodgers side conceded a late goal in controversial circumstances.
Kieran Tierney opened the scoring for the Bhoys after 34 minutes when his long-range effort beat County keeper Scott Fox.
The visitors were unable to double their advantage or give themselves any breathing space as they went into the break still leading by that wonderful Tierney strike.
Five minutes after the restart Michael Gardyne headed home the equaliser to the delight of the home supporters.

Substitute Patrick Roberts, who came onto the field on 69 minutes, scored what looked like the winner nine minutes later after poor goalkeeping from Fox.
But, Alex Schalk blatantly dived in the penalty area late on with the referee awarding the spot kick which was duly converted by Liam Boyce.
However, fans weren’t too pleased with McGregor and his performance, with some feeling, he should have been the one substituted in the second half.
Instead, the versatile player lasted the whole 90 minutes with certain supporters labelling his as useless during the game.
Overall fans weren’t too pleased with McGregor and his days work against Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

Over the course of the season, McGregor has played 40 games in all competitions for the Bhoys, scoring three goals and supplying eight assists.
Furthermore, Rodgers has opted to start the youngster in his last six league matches, with the Glasgow club only keeping one clean sheet during those games.
That came at Hearts on March 2 when the away side were crowned Scottish Champions by thumping Ian Cathro’s men 5-0 on the road.
McGregor will not turn his attention to April 23, with the Hoops taking on their Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.
