Thomas Christiansen must end Leeds’ search for a new left-back by moving for ostracised Newcastle defender Massadio Haidara this summer.
Haidara, 24, has struggled to make an impression at Newcastle since his move from Ligue 1 outfit Nancy in January 2013.
Suffering a long-term injury in October 2015, Haidara has been made to wait patient for first-team game time and although he recovered from the problem in January, he must search for pastures new.
The Frenchman has made just three senior appearances since recovering from the injury, and is unlikely to be given any more game time following the signing of Javier Manquillo.
