Euro giants Fenerbahce have reportedly been offered West Ham’s Diafra Sakho but Newcastle should look to steal in and swoop for the striker this summer.

Turkish outlet Fanatik claim the 27-year-old has been offered to the SuperLig club, after the Hammers confirmed summer deals for Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.

It is said that Sakho is just one of a number of strikers being considered by Fener, with Premier League forwards Wilfried Bony and Lucas Perez also being considered.

Newcastle have just confirmed their fifth signing in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mikel Merino, who joins on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.

He joins a list of new signings alongside Javier Manquillo, Florian Lejeune, Jacob Murphy and Christian Atsu, as Rafa Benitez steps up his involvement in the transfer window.
