Finn Geragusyan has appeared on Rangers’ radar in recent weeks ahead of the summer transfer window.

With the 18-year-old’s scholarship up in the summer, Danny Rohl is hoping to swoop in to secure the Sunderland starlet.

However, this could prove to be a difficult task, with the youngster already holding a senior cap for the Armenia National Team, as well as being one of the top youngsters in the Black Cats’ academy.

Yet, Rangers may already hold an advantage in the race for this signature thanks to the successful loan of Mikey Moore.

It is no secret that the loan of Moore has been a huge success.

The Tottenham Hotspur star has been one of Rangers’ best attackers in the latter half of the season, and he has been key in the ongoing title race.

Much of this is thanks to Rohl, with the manager’s coaching certainly getting the best out of the winger after his previously struggled under Russell Martin.

When Geragusyan is considering his options in the summer, this is something that Rangers can use to their advantage.

There is no doubt that Moore has improved as a footballer at Ibrox and could easily go back to Tottenham to become a first-team player next season.

Therefore, with Rohl clearly happy to give chances to young players and get the best out of them, this may be enough to convince Geragusyan to switch Sunderland for Rangers in the summer.

What could Geragusyan provide Rangers?

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Keith Wyness believes that Geragusyan could be a massive financial asset for Rangers down the line.

If the Gers give him time, he could easily develop into a star and then be sold for millions.

This is the type of transfer strategy Rangers should strive to achieve, and it could help fund bigger and more talented stars in years to come, and give them an edge over Celtic.

However, it remains to be seen if Rohl is able to win the race for Geragusyan, with the Old Firm club already preparing for the upcoming summer transfer window.
