Aston Villa’s biggest win against Birmingham came in the Simod Cup in 1988 when they hammered their city rivals 6-0.
Never heard of the Simod Cup? Well nobody seemed to really care about the game before it started as only 8,000 people turned up thanks to the competitions lack of popularity and the major gulf between the Second City rivals.
However after the game, those lucky few fans who bothered to attend got treated to seeing Graham Taylor’s Villa side give Blues an absolute pasting.
