In what was surely Villa’s best season in recent memory they won a Second City derby in the final few minutes of the game thanks to Small Heath’s scourge – Gabriel Abgonlahor.
Without a goal in 85 minutes, Agbonlahor beat a young Joe Hart in the Blues goal to send the away end into absolute raptures.
Villa finished sixth that season just six points away from a Champions League spot. while Birmingham managed their highest ever Premier League finish in ninth.
