Aston Villa had gone 12 years without a win against Birmingham before Kevin Phillips was the Second City derby hero in October 2005.
His 19th minute striker earned a monumental win for the Villa which ended a run of six games against their bitter rivals without a win.
The impact of that win was hard felt on Birmingham, who had to wait until five years later before they could win the derby.
