Five rookies named in full-strength Tottenham squad for Hong Kong friendly

By Harry Sykes

Tottenham have named five players with no first-team experience in a full-strength squad for their friendly against Hong Kong.

Goalkeeper Pau Lopez, central midfield duo Luke Amos and Filip Lesniak, attacking midfielder Will Miller and striker Kaziah Sterling join the first-team regulars in a 22-man squad for the post-season friendly.

The rookie quintet, who are yet to play for the senior team, join the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris for the one-match trip.

Spurs fly out this week for the long-haul trip to the Far East despite an exhausting Premier League campaign coming to an end on Sunday.

The club play just a single game, against Kitchee SC at the Hong Kong Stadium on Friday night.

There has been no attempt from manager Mauricio Pochettino to rest any of his senior stars or select a weakened squad.

Even Kyle Walker, who has been strongly linked with a summer exit from White Hart Lane, has been named in the squad despite missing the last two matches of the season with an ankle injury.

In other Tottenham team news, a £21.5million striker who has ripped up a tough league this season has pushed for a massive move after Spurs agreed personal terms.
