Forget Alli and Kane, this Tottenham star has been the surprise package this season

Tottenham are flying high once again in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino, and their recent form is starting to unnerve league leaders Chelsea.
The north London club kept their title hopes alive with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, with Chelsea slipping up against Manchester United and falling to a 2-0 defeat.
They are now just four points behind the Blues in the title race, and their bid for success this season is down to the impressive performances of the Spurs squad.
But there have been a few individual displays that have warranted further praise, including Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
However, it is a third member of Tottenham’s superb attacking unit that deserves particular credit, Son Heung-Min.

Tottenham were fully aware of the qualities that the South Korean international could offer when they moved to snap him up from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
But his exploits this season have come as a considerable surprise to everyone else. There is a reason though, why he is currently the most expensive Asian player in history.
The 24-year-old has scored 19 goals and supplied eight assists from 40 appearances in all season, operating in a number of different attacking roles.
Son is often deployed on the left-hand side of an attacking trio, but he has been handed further responsibilities as a centre-forward in recent weeks with Kane out injured.
But his performances as Tottenham’s leading man left little to be desired, as he stepped up when asked to fill Kane’s shoes, and that can take some doing.
He has shown ground-breaking improvement following a rather disappointing first season at White Hart Lane, and can now be considered one of the club’s most prized assets.
People can also forget his age. Son is only one year older than Kane, meaning the attacking quartet of Alli, Kane, Son and Eriksen, is very much one for the long-term. Tottenham could be a formidable force if they play their cards right.
Regardless of how Tottenham’s season pans out in the coming weeks – in the FA Cup and in the title race – Tottenham can take great pleasure from their work this season.
They have emerged as a shock contender at the top level, while Son has threatened to cement his place among the Premier League’s elite stars this season, beside the Alli’s and the Eden Hazard’s.
