Forget Arshavin, the stink from these five Wenger deals still hasn’t left Arsenal

2. Sébastien Squillaci – £6million, From Olympique Lyon 2010

Another enforcer who couldn’t cut it at Arsenal, Squillaci won 21 caps for France in his career, but it all went downhill when he was signed by Wenger.

He played 39 times for Arsenal, but not very well, and despite his two goals Arsenal couldn’t recoup any of the money they spent on him.

Just three years after he arrived he left on a free transfer to SC Bastia, where he retired four years later.
