Forget Rice: Tottenham insider worried about two ‘incredible’ West Ham players

Tottenham have to keep Tomas Soucek and Pablo Fornals quiet if they are going to pick up a result on Sunday.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham face West Ham at the London Stadium after both sides picked up very different results in Europe on Thursday.

A second-string Spurs side lost 1-0 to Vitesse while the Hammers cruised to a 3-0 win over Genk.

Both Soucek, 26, and Fornals, 25, made it through Thursday’s win unscathed which is bad news for Tottenham, according to Wenham.

“West Ham are having another really decent season,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“All the credit has to go to David Moyes for that. He has built a solid foundation with some incredible signings.

“Players like Coufal and Soucek, we had never heard of them. Now you would say they would get in most Premier League teams.

“They work so hard. Soucek never stops in the midfield. He never runs out of energy either.

“He’s one we will have to keep quiet if we have any hope of getting a result.

“Another one is Fornals, he’s having a great season. They can do some serious damage.

They have a lot of very good players and that’s before you even get to the likes of Declan Rice.

“They have impressed a lot of people, myself included. We will need to put in a good performance to get anything.

“We failed to beat them in the Premier League last season and they will be aware of that.
