Calm down Sam they’ve gone: The five worst Everton signings in the Premier League
2. Alex Nyarko
Oh dear. Nyarko arrived for £5.7million from Lens in July 2000 and fans were immediately suspicious.
Thye thought Everton had overpaid and it turned out they were right as Nyarko went on to make just 33 appearances for the club.
It didn’t end well as Nyarko was confronted by an Everton fan who ran onto the pitch to tell him what the manager hadn’t – that he was rubbish.
He didn’t play for Everton again and was shifted on a free transfer to Norwegian club Start in 2005.
