Former international star delivers exciting verdict on reported Newcastle striker target

Former Scotland international Don Hutchison has given a glowing report of reported Newcastle United striker target Nicolai Jorgenson after having watched him at various points this season.
The ex-Liverpool and Everton forward, who was born in Newcastle’s neighbouring city of Gateshead, stated on his personal Twitter account that after commentating on games in which he has played for either club side Feyenoord or the Danish national team, he believes the 27-year-old to be an exciting talent, crediting his ability both in the air as well as with his feet.

The Magpies are said to be firmly in the hunt for the 28-cap international forward, with Sky Sports reporter Keith Downey claiming that owner Mike Ashley has sanctioned the club to break their transfer record on securing his signing.
Jorgensen, who has also had spells with Copenhagen and Bayer Leverkusen, has netted nine times in 19 appearances this season, two of those goals coming in the Champions League, while he sat out Wednesday’s league clash against Utrecht as a result of suspension.
Newcastle have seen just one name through the door at St James’ Park this month, Chelsea winger Kenedy arriving on a loan deal until the end of the season, after manager Rafael Benitez managed to secure just five new faces during the summer window.
In other Newcastle United transfer news, the club are firm favourites to secure the signing of an international Premier League hitman.
