Four Nottingham Forest players have been ‘transformed’ by Sean Dyche
Nottingham Forest have been handed a huge boost in their battle against relegation as Murillo has “finally” returned to his best level – and so have three of his teammates.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 23-year-old will play a crucial role in any success they have under Sean Dyche.
Nottingham Forest beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield last time out, lifting them out of the relegation zone and continuing their upward trajectory under Dyche’s arrival.
Brown told Football Insider on 24 November that Dyche has inspired a turnaround at Nottingham Forest after reverting to a more defensive style which better suits his players.
However, Murillo’s return to top form has also been a key factor for the new boss, while the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White and Nikola Milenkovic have also impressed.

Murillo return to form is a huge boost to Nottingham Forest
Brown told Football Insider on 21 October that Nottingham Forest’s struggles were due to key players including Murillo who had yet to step up this season.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has insisted that the centre-back’s return to form has come as a major boost at the City Ground.
“Sean Dyche is getting the best out of the players he has,” he told Football Insider.
“I think having Murillo finally back to top form after being injured and struggling a bit earlier in the season has been a huge boost to Nottingham Forest.
“They’ve been honest about the style of football which best suits these players, and that’s what Dyche has brought back to them, that defensive structure.
“That’s where Murillo is best because he showed how important he can be for Forest lasts season.
“Playing in more of a defensive structure will get the best out of him, and having him available and at the top of his game will only make Forest better.
“Then, when you have people like Elliot Anderson, Nikola Milenkovic and Morgan Gibbs-White back to their best, you’re going to have success.
“It’s a major asset for Forest to have these players back, and a boost to Dyche’s plans.”
Nottingham Forest plan to back Dyche in January
Murillo’s return to form has been a major boost to Forest, but there is a growing feeling at the City Ground that further improvements could be made in January.
Brown told Football Insider on 13 November that Dyche wants to be backed by Nottingham Forest as he aims to strengthen his squad in the mid-season window.
Forest have always shown a willingness to back managers financially, having done so during the summer when they spent around £210million on new players.

However, given the level of control Evangelos Marinakis and Edu Gaspar have over the transfer policy, questions have been asked about Dyche’s backing.
Football Insider revealed on 21 October that Nottingham Forest could be restricted in January as a result of their massive spending during the summer window.
