“Physically he is also sharp and what I loved about his goal from the weekend. The finish was obviously class and that was top draw but the run was the special bit for me. He’s got that instinct to sniff out opportunities.
“We’re talking about a really young player who is already performing at the top level of the Premier League. If he keeps going like this he’s going to have a fantastic career and he really is going to rack up the goals.”
Alli has scored 15 goals and supplied seven assists in 37 Spurs matches in all competitions this season, with 13 goals coming from 26 league encounters.
He has built on his sensational debut campaign in which he adapted instantly after transferring from League One outfit MK Dons.
However, Alli’s hopes of being a Premier League champion this season were dealt a considerable blow on Monday night when Chelsea extended their lead to 10 points with a 2-1 win at West Ham.
