Full Leeds United takeover could happen ‘any day now’ after update – pundit
It is the right time for the San Francisco 49ers to complete a full takeover of Leeds United.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Whites’ future.
MOT Leeds News revealed last week (20 November) that the 49ers have the option to complete a full takeover from Andrea Radrizzani in January 2023.

It is not yet whether that potential deal will be at a discount to another clause confirmed by the Italian – which sees the deadline for a full buyout set for January 2024.
McManus is backing the deal to get done.
“American owners are looking at clubs in England because they can get a real bargain,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“You can either completely takeover or get a stake in a club and slowly increase it over time. You just have to wait and see.
“I personally don’t know too much about what the 49ers invest in. You see Liverpool and Man United putting themselves up for sale, they will attract US bidders.
“Those clubs are for the super, super rich. Leeds might be a more achievable target if you are an American wanting to buy a Premier League club.
“The key thing for Leeds now is to stay in the Premier League. They become a much more attractive option when they are offering Premier League football.
“It is the right time for American owners to come into English football considering the strength of the dollar over the pound.”

“We just have to wait and see now but I think we all know Leeds could do with the investment.
“They way things are going it sounds like it could happen any day now.”
