Future of Tottenham £70k-a-week man surely in doubt after transfer development – reports
The future of Tottenham right-back Serge Aurier has been cast into doubt after the club were linked with a move for Southampton full-back Cedric Soares this summer.
With Mauricio Pochettino eyeing an assault on the Premier League title, the Saints defender is on the wish list of the North Londoners.
But should that move materialise, it leaves all kind of questions over the future of the Ivory Coast international.
The former Paris Saint-Germain full-back only arrived at the club last summer but has a hard time from the Spurs faithful who have criticised the defender when he has played for the Lillywhites.
Mauricio Pochettino has favoured Kieran Trippier in the Premier League which has meant that Aurier has been reduced to only making 16 starts in the top-flight this season.

But in a strange move from the Argentinian boss, the 25-year-old has been preferred over the England international for their Champions League escapades.
Both Trippier and Aurier are under contract until 2022 but should the Portuguese European Champion also make his way into the ranks there isn’t enough room for all three at the club.
One will have to go and as the England full-back is slightly more popular than the 25-year-old we reckon it will be “au-revoir” Aurier this summer.
