Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard react to ‘jaw-dropping’ Declan Rice message
Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard were among the Arsenal players to react after Declan Rice received recognition for his standout campaign.
Rice has been pivotal for Mikel Arteta’s side this season. Despite a disappointing end to the campaign, the England international enjoyed a brilliant individual year.
With the side finishing in second place for the third time in-a-row and another season without silverware, pressure is mounting on Arteta to deliver next campaign.
Despite this, Rice has had a fantastic end to the campaign, particularly in the Champions League, while continuing to impress domestically.
Following the conclusion of the campaign, the midfielder has now been recognised by the fans for his performances.

Declan Rice wins Arsenal Player of the Season after standout campaign
Following a standout season, Rice has been named Arsenal’s Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.
The club’s official Instagram account confirmed the award, posting: “From heroic tackles to jaw-dropping free-kicks… Declan Rice is our Player of the Season with 52% of the vote.”
Plenty of his teammates reacted, with Gabriel—who recently signed a new contract with Arsenal—Trossard, and David Raya all liking the post.
Earlier in the campaign, Rice faced criticism from a section of Arsenal supporters for a dip in form compared to his debut year.
However, he quickly found his rhythm and played a crucial role in the second half of the season, with standout performances, including a memorable showing against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The former West Ham captain featured 52 times across all competitions, recording his best-ever goal output with nine goals and 10 assists.
Arsenal given boost in Morgan Gibbs-White pursuit after Man City decision

With Rice central to Arteta’s plans, the club are still looking to bolster their midfield further.
Football Insider revealed Arsenal are exploring a potential move for Morgan Gibbs-White, with Manchester City, who are long-time admirers of the Forest star, are now shifting their focus.
Man City are said to be in advanced talks to sign Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki for around €30 million (£25 million), significantly less than Gibbs-White and what another target, Florian Wirtz, would cost reportedly in excess of £100 million.
This shift potentially paves the way for Arsenal to make an unchallenged move for Gibbs-White, though it remains to be seen whether the club will formalise their interest.
