Gabriel Magalhaes reacts to Rodrygo’s message as he packs his bags

Arsenal’s Gabriel responded to Rodrygo’s latest message amid ongoing speculation linking the Brazilian with a move to the Emirates.

Arsenal are actively targeting a new left-winger this summer following inconsistent seasons from both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

While the club are currently in talks to extend Trossard’s contract, they’ve also shown strong interest in Real Madrid star Rodrygo in recent weeks.

Despite the admiration from Mikel Arteta’s side, Football Insider recently reported that Arsenal are set to miss out on Rodrygo, with the winger expected to stay at Real Madrid beyond the summer transfer window.

Previous reports suggested that Real Madrid would demand a huge fee for Rodrygo, but it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will test their resolve.

Amid the ongoing speculation, the winger shared a fresh update on social media, which caught the attention of Arsenal defender Gabriel.

Rodrygo prepares for Real Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign amid Arsenal links

The forward is currently preparing with Real Madrid as the squad gear up for the Club World Cup.

He posted a message on Instagram after arriving in Miami, Florida, posing with his suitcase and writing: “Hello USA”.

Plenty of players responded to the post, including Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, Vinicius Jr. and Arsenal’s Gabriel—possibly fuelling ongoing speculation about a potential move to North London.

Despite strong interest from the Gunners, Football Insider revealed that Real Madrid would demand a fee in the region of £100million for Rodrygo, which is an amount that appears to have discouraged several clubs, including Liverpool.

He made just 22 La Liga starts last season, often featuring on the right flank rather than his preferred left side, but still managed an impressive 24 goals and assists across all competitions.

Arsenal make striker call as Benjamin Sesko leads shortlist

While the side are pursuing a new winger, their current priority appears to be securing a new number nine.

Football Insider revealed that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko is at the top of Arsenal’s shortlist, although a deal is yet to progress significantly.

The Gunners remain interested in Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres, with negotiations ongoing for both forwards. However, the club have yet to make a final decision on who will lead the line next season.

Both players are expected to leave their respective clubs this summer, but it remains to be seen which striker will be wearing an Arsenal shirt at the Emirates.
