Gallagher told to snub Crystal Palace and sign for Leeds United
Alan Hutton has urged Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher to snub Crystal Palace to join Leeds United on loan for next season.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested playing under Marcelo Bielsa in an established side would be better for the 21-year-old’s development.
As reported by football.london (July 23rd), Gallagher has held talks with both Leeds and Palace over a potential temporary move.
The promising midfielder spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at West Brom.
It is said while he wants to impress in pre-season at Chelsea, Gallagher is keen to be playing regularly next term.
Hutton insisted neither Leeds nor Palace could guarantee game time for the Chelsea starlet.

However, he insisted he would rather head to Elland Road.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It all comes down to your performance.
“You can’t guarantee anyone game time because you don’t know how they’re going to perform week on week. That is obviously a big factor.
“You don’t want to be moving to a team and sitting on the bench where you could have been doing that at your own club. It’s about where he would feel more at home.
“At Palace, you’ll be in London, they’re going through a rebuild at the moment. Does that suit him?
“Or does he fancy going to the likes of Leeds? They’re established, trying to break into that top ten, be a mainstay there and move forward.
“I would like that. If I was him, playing under Bielsa is something different. He loves to attack, loves players to get forward, make things happen, play with freedom and express yourself.
“I think that’s the type of player that he is. He wants that from a manager so I personally think he would suit the Leeds team.”
