Garry Monk posts Twitter message to Leeds fans ahead of Birmingham clash

Garry Monk has warned his Leeds players that they must be prepared for a difficult test against Birmingham City on Friday evening.
Monk’s Leeds travel to St. Andrews’ Stadium to face Gianfranco Zola’s side in front of the television cameras, as they look to build on Saturday’s win against Sheffield Wednesday.
Ahead of the match, Monk claimed on his personal Twitter account that the trip to the Midlands will be a “tough challenge” for his promotion-chasing squad.

Leeds head into the game in the middle of a sticky patch of form that has seen them win just two of their last five Championship encounters.
However, last weekend’s 1-0 win against Wednesday could play a crucial part in seeing Monk secure victory in the Midlands, after Chris Wood scored his 23rd goal of the season.

Zola’s side will be in buoyant mood coming into the game, after securing three points against Midlands rivals Wolves last time in a 2-1 away victory.
Former Swansea boss Monk will be forced to watch the match from the stands, though, after receiving a one-match ban for his part in the touchline fracas against Huddersfield.
Currently in fourth place, a win for the Yorkshire giants could see them move to within just one point of third placed Huddersfield and seven points away from the automatic promotion places.
