Garry Monk sends plea to Leeds fans ahead of critical Wolves clash
By Danny Wright
Garry Monk has issued a battle cry to Leeds supporters ahead of Monday’s clash against Wolves.
The Leeds boss wants to see Elland Road packed to the rafters for the fixture, as his side could potentially drop out of the play-off places if results go against them.
Friday night’s draw with Newcastle leaves the Yorkshire club just three points clear of seventh-placed Fulham, who also have a much better goal difference.
Monk, on his personal Twitter account, made no secret about his desperation to see his side pick up all three points to give them a chance at promotion to the Premier League – and thinks an electric atmosphere at Elland Road will give his side the cutting edge.

Paul Lambert’s side are 16th in the Championship standings and do not seem as though they have anything to play for with relegation worries all-but ended.
Leeds are in a tight-battle with Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham for the final two play-off spots with Reading and Huddersfield looking more secure in the top six.
The Owls are one point behind Monk’s side and have a trip to QPR in their next game, while Fulham welcome Aston Villa to Craven Cottage, who lost to Reading on Saturday.
