Garry Monk sends warning message ahead of Leeds showdown against Brighton
By Amir Mir
Garry Monk has warned Brighton that there is nothing bigger than Leeds’ “desire” to face up to the “huge challenge” they will bring.
The Whites will face one of their toughest tests of the season when they take on a team that is sitting in second and on course to secure automatic promotion at the end of the campaign.
Chris Hughton’s side will travel to Yorkshire on Saturday evening hoping to pick up a crucial three points against fifth-placed Leeds.
When the duo met during the reverse fixture at the Amex Stadium, it was the Seagulls who came out on top by recording a comfortable 2-0 win.
Now, Monk will be hoping his team can produce a better display and reclaim fourth spot from Reading.

“A huge challenge ahead but one that’s no bigger than our desire to face up to it & far smaller than the massive backing from our fans,” Monk wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Jap Stam’s side picked up a crucial three points at fellow promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night.
The result means the Royal’s moved above the Whites in the table, with their Yorkshire neighbours, Wednesday, now looking over their shoulders.
Fulham are one point behind Carlos Carvahal’s side in the table and if they secure three points at home to Wolves on Saturday afternoon then they will move into the top six.
This will be the last set of league fixtures for this month with the International break set to kick in next week.
