Gary Lineker claims this Liverpool ace is incisive

By Dominic Toner

Gary Lineker has described Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana as “incisive” following his performance against Stoke.

The Reds completed a comfortable 4-1 victory against Stoke on Tuesday in the Premier League and climbed up to second in the table, closing the gap to leaders Chelsea back to six points.

Jon Walters gave the visitors a surprise 1-0 lead at Anfield, but Lallana drew Liverpool level with a smart finish from a tight angle.

Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and a Giannelli Imbula own goal secured the three points for the Merseyside club and Lallana continued his good form this season.

Lineker has highlighted the qualities of Lallana and claims he has improved his decision making under manager Jurgen Klopp.

“Lallana has added a cutting edge to his game under Klopp that has made a delightful footballer, incisive,” Lineker wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Lallana has been one of the club’s standout players this season and is a crucial reason behind their title bid.

The 28-year-old has made 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals and supplying six assists.

He only managed seven goals during the whole of the 2015/16 campaign and is on course to smash that record.

Lallana has emerged as a crucial player for Gareth Southgate with England and is equally as important to Klopp at Liverpool.

The central midfielder has slotted in well to Klopp’s system and plays alongside either Jordan Henderson, Emre Can or Georginio Wijnaldum.

In other Liverpool news, a Sky Sports pundit claims that this  player is on par with Sergio Aguero.
