Gary Lineker sarcastically claimed on Twitter that Tottenham don’t need Harry Kane after Vincent Janssen scored his first goal from open play against Millwall.
Spurs recorded an emphatic 6-0 victory against the League One opposition in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Hueng-Min Son scored a hat-trick for the north London club, while Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli also got on the scoresheet.
Spurs’ forward Janssen, 22, also managed his fifth goal of the season when he came off the bench, which was the first not converted from the penalty spot.
However, their progress came at a cost as talisman Kane was forced off with an ankle injury in the opening 10 minutes.

Spurs will face a nervous wait to find out the extent of Kane’s injury and will be hoping he can stay play a major role in the rest of their season.
They are fighting for a place in the top four and now have a semi-final at Wembley ahead of them.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side would be dealt a big blow if Kane is ruled out for an extended period as he has already scored 24 goals this season.
Meanwhile, Janssen lifted a huge burden off his shoulders by scoring his first goal from open play and calmly converted into the bottom left corner.
He may now have an important role to play for Spurs in the rest of the season and will be boosted by his goal against Millwall.
