Gary Lineker makes huge comment on Twitter about Tottenham player
By Harry Sykes
Gary Lineker has hailed the remarkable scoring of Harry Kane on Twitter after he secured the Premier League Golden Boot for the second consecutive season.
Kane netted his second hat-trick in four days on Sunday as Tottenham demolished Hull City 7-1 at the KCOM Stadium.
It lifted the England international’s league tally for the season to 29 goals and came just three days after his sensational four-goal salvo against Leicester City.
It meant that Kane finished four ahead of closest rival Romelu Lukaku (25) and five clear of Alexis Sanchez (24), who both scored in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday.
Kane finished top of the pile for the second successive campaign after netting 25 times in the league last season, one more than Leicester’s Jamie Vardy and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.

Match of the Day host Lineker is among those who have been blown away by the stunning consistency of Spurs academy product Kane, 23.
“He’s a goalscoring machine whose numbers are beginning to match the absolute best,” the former Tottenham striker wrote on his personal Twitter account on Sunday.
2 goals already for Harry Kane. He’s a goalscoring machine whose numbers are beginning to match the absolute best.

The huge comment from Lineker, comparing Kane to the best strikers there have been, demonstrates the huge esteem in which the England international is held.
His final club tally for 2016-17 in all competitions stands at 35 goals from 39 matches.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino opted to select a full-strength side despite Spurs having already sewn up the runners-up spot in the division and seemingly having little to play for.
Further goals from Dele Alli, Victor Wanyama, Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld secured a remarkable win and lifted Spurs’ points tally for the season to 86 points, seven adrift of champions Chelsea.
