Gary Lineker makes Twitter prediction on future of Manchester United attacker
By Will Butcher
Gary Lineker believes Marcus Rashford is destined for stardom after his eye-catching cameo role against West Ham.
The 19-year-old was given the man of the match award despite only coming off the bench on the hour mark, as United secured a 2-0 win against 10 men.
Match of the Day host Lineker claimed on his personal Twitter account that Rashford will reach the heights of the game, if he “avoids any rotten luck with injury”.
Marcus Rashford is a delightful footballer and if he avoids any rotten luck with injury, he'll be a star.

Replacing Jesse Lingard, Rashford created Juan Mata’s opener by isolating right-back Havard Nordtveit and showing a calmness to find his Spanish teammate unmarked with an accurate low cross.
Mata supplied a calm finish, before in-form striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic doubled United’s lead with a powerful finish towards the end of the match, despite being offside.

Rashford’s introduction, along with former Chelsea ace Mata, sparked life into a beleaguered United side who were becoming frustrated in their attempts to break down Slaven Bilic’s side.
Already a fully-fledged England international, Rashford has seen his stock continue to rise despite struggling to earn a starting spot in Jose Mourinho’s side.
The versatile attacker will be hoping that his game-changing display against the Hammers will earn him a starting spot against Reading in the FA Cup before United face Hull in the semi-final of the EFL Cup on January 10.
Since his debut against Danish outfit FC Midtjylland in Feburary 2016, Rashford has recorded 13 goals in 46 league and cup appearances for the Premier League giants.
In other Manchester United news, this report claims that Mourinho is ready to spend £80million on this international talisman.
