Tom Rogic has rejected a new contract offer at Celtic and is prepared to leave after the World Cup in the summer, according to a report – and some fans are distraught at the news.
The World Outlet, an Australian media outlet, claims that there are a number of factors behind his rejection of new terms.
Rogic is reportedly unhappy with the terms of the new offer but is also concerned at his lack of game time.
The third factor is the arrival of Charly Musonda, on loan from Chelsea.
The 25-year-old, who joined Celtic in 2013 has struggled with fitness this season, and has only made 12 Premiership appearances for Brendan Rodgers this season.
He didn’t start the 3-0 defeat to Zenit in the Europa League on Thursday night but came on at half time and looked the best player on the pitch for Celtic in the second period.
One fan said that he “genuinely might cry” if Rogic does leave, while another was adamant that if Rogic goes “I go”.
However, others stated that he couldn’t stay fit anyway.
