Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to annihilate Jamie Barjonas for his performance in the 2-1 victory over Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday night.
Barjonas, 18, was called upon by Graeme Murty to start his first Premiership game of the season against Neil Lennon’s men but appeared to be out of his depth in the middle of the park against the home side’s solid midfield.
Many supporters believe that Barjonas was a contributing factor to Hibs opening the scoring when he failed to track back Lewis Stevenson.
Although he is still very inexperienced, Rangers fans on social media refused to hold back their criticism of the teenage midfielder, with one telling Murty to “get rid” of him.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Poor wee Barjonas is out of his depth tonight. Need Peña or Niko on

Holt and Barjonas are being totally bullied in the middle of the park, completely steamrollered.

Barjonas was only making his eighth first-team appearance for the Light Blues at Easter Road but at the age of 18, the future still looks very bright for the midfielder, who is making quite an impression in the youth sides to be able to earn a call-up to the senior squad.
Ryan Jack’s suspension and the injury to Graham Dorrans has perhaps not helped Murty’s team selection and forced his hand into starting Barjonas with Niko Kranjcar and Jordan Rossiter also absent.
In other Rangers news, this Gers and Celtic transfer target will complete a January transfer.
